Orders & Shipping

How long does shipping take?

Production takes 2-5 business days, then shipping takes 5-10 business days for standard US delivery. Express options are available at checkout.

Why isn't shipping free?

We pass through carrier rates exactly as UPS/USPS charges us. No markup, no hidden fees. We think transparency is more honest than hiding shipping costs in inflated product prices.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes! We ship to US, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Australia, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, and Ireland. International shipping typically costs $8-15 depending on location. Orders may be subject to customs duties which are the buyer's responsibility.

Can I track my order?

Absolutely. You'll receive a tracking number via email once your order ships from our fulfillment center.

What if my order arrives damaged?

Contact us within 14 days with photos of the damaged packaging and item. We'll send a replacement at no cost to you. If the order is incomplete or lost in transit, we'll reship or refund—your choice.

Products

What's the quality like?

We use premium blanks and high-quality direct-to-garment printing. The prints are durable and the fabric is soft and comfortable.

How do your shirts fit?

Most of our tees are unisex and run true to size. Check the size guide on each product page for measurements. When in doubt, size up.

What sizes do you carry?

We carry S through 3XL in most styles. Size availability is shown on each product page.

Returns & Exchanges

Can I return my order?

We can't accept returns for change of mind. However, we offer 14-day exchanges for size issues.

What if my item is defective?

Contact us within 14 days with photos of the issue. We'll respond within 24-48 hours and send a replacement or issue a full refund—usually within 5 business days.

How do I exchange for a different size?

Email support@departmentoftrouble.com with your order number and the size you need. Return shipping for exchanges is $5 flat rate (deducted from any price difference refund). We'll send the new size once we receive the original.

Who pays for return shipping?

For defective items, we cover return shipping. For size exchanges (wrong size ordered), there's a $5 flat rate return shipping fee. We'll send you a prepaid label.

Roast Club

What is Roast Club?

Roast Club is our subscription service. For $40/month (or $400/year and save $80), you get two curated tees shipped to your door. Mix of limited drops, unreleased samples, and exclusive collabs.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. No contracts, no cancellation fees. Cancel through your account or email us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period—you'll still receive that month's shipment.

Can I pause my subscription?

Yes! You can pause for up to 3 months. Give us at least 7 days notice before your next billing date. Resume anytime through your account dashboard.

Can I skip a month?

Yes. Let us know at least 7 days before your billing date. You won't be charged for that month and your subscription continues the following month.

What if I want a refund for a partial month?

We don't offer prorated refunds for partial months. If you cancel mid-cycle, you'll receive your current month's shipment and the subscription ends after that.

Can I choose which tees I get?

Part of the fun is the surprise! But you can tell us your size preferences and use the AI barkeep to request swaps before each shipment.

Account & Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover) via Stripe. Apple Pay and Google Pay are also available.

Is my payment information secure?

Yes. We use Stripe for payment processing, which is PCI-compliant. We never store your full credit card details.

Do I need an account to order?

No. You can check out as a guest. Creating an account lets you track orders and save your preferences.
